JW - The best thing would be for Bush to concede today.

It would be a Thanksgiving present for the nation, and would send the markets soaring.

Gore has the high ground now, thanks to the out-lawyering and the far superior public relations maneuvering. Now it is the Bush side that will appear to be the sore losers, filing new law suits left and right, pitting the legislature against the judiciary, and willing to put the nation at risk by provoking a Constitutional crisis.

It's a doomed effort, anyway, as will become eminently clear as soon as Gore pulls ahead in the vote count--which will happen at any moment.

Let Bush walk away from this mess with his head held high, as the man who sacrificed his ambitions to save the nation. Let Gore be the president who will spend the next four years as an impotent leader trying to explain his way out of all the chicanery that put him in the White House.

Let this whole f....g thing end.

J.C., swallowing a whole bottle of Maalox.
