On the contrary, you misunderstand. If a county, not the state, goes 55/45, the recounts should be about the same percentages in that county. I don't think allegations of fraud are irresponsible at all. Not if you want the true intent of the voter. As a Gore supporter I would think you would welcome allegations of fraud. If they are not supported or proven, your guy has the stronger case. If they are not made, then the country has this underlying feeling they were cheated...and that won't go away.
