Jeff: LOL!! Uhh...no offense meant by the comment. Just making an observation from the perspective of growing up in the military. Point of order here. All military personnel come from civilian backgrounds.....well...most do excepting 2nd, 3rd, etc., generations of career military.

And while I whole-heartedly agree with:

Not one democrat or republican has been killed let alone shot at or physically threatened in this election...

I must point out, if you've been following along with most of the commentary being espoused from the endless legions of talking heads from both sides, that a fair amount of character assassination has been underway from both camps. And in todays Democratic society that is violence of a new sort, eh? And the vitriol and "spin control" has sometimes reached levels of histrionics. It's all enough to make one start polishing a rifle and looking for a tower. (That's a joke, by the way, heh....*ahem*).

Anyway, I was happy to see the Fla Supreme Court was having none of it, and kept both sides reigned in when they started in on their media-styled pontifications, instead of staying strictly to the point of the proceedings.

Fascinating stuff, over-all, although I daresay it does nothing for the general populaces mood regarding both political camps.

Regards!

John~
