It was weather patterns that really killed us. It has long been known that bad weather stops the "UVs" or uninformed voters from turning out. But we had almost perfect weather (except Texas) all across the United States which turns out the UVs. The unfortunate thing about UVs is that they tend to vote 70% straight ticket Democratic. Most of them are so ignorant that they don't even know the name of their own Congressman or woman. They don't understand the ballot propositions. This makes for unfortunate things like lousy laws passing. Here in California we had an obnoxious "Campaign Finance Reform" proposition that was written by some lawyers on behalf of their incumbent politicians. Despite the fact that not a single newspaper in California endorsed this measure, it still won. It was the UVs in the booths that passed it. -John
