Not true. What VLNC has is the li poly solid state battery and its commercial production in NI. Commercial production and materials used in the battery manufacture at NI plant facility were tested by Telcordia (and by a third party appointed by Telcordia) before the IP asset sale announced this month. After the Telcordia IP asset acquisition, VLNC has almost all of the rights to this technology - 400 to 700 patents or so - especially the Mn and PO4 technologies. There are many manufacturers for the Li ion battery using the gel-in-can technology which is restricted to small battery size like cell phones. For large format Li Poly SS battery VLNC claims their technology offers the most energy, recharge cycles, and safety during the recharge cycle.
