That's the point you are missing. Manual recounts are not attempts to get a vote count, they are attempts to manufacture votes. The court waived the fraud through, but told Gore to pull it off by Sunday. The court knows that it's power to allow this heist will deteriorate with time, and the decision was a warning that all such crimes must adhere to a careful timetable. The Gore storm troopers will make their deadline-they will have the newly-minted votes by Monday morning. No one has accused them of inefficiency...
