Dan, The P4 1.4 and 1.5 must be cooled to 70 and 72 C to stay within spec. Voltage is already at 1.7. Good find. We will see how much headroom there really is under current process. Joe

The P4 1.4 and 1.5 must be cooled to 70 and 72 C to stay within spec. That's case temp., Mister Fudmeister. Junction will be several degrees higher, or probably around 80 C, which is about what you'd want a maximum operating junction temp. to be. BTW, All the important boxmakers in the world have put forth P4 systems. developer.intel.com Section 6.1, Thermal Specifications, Table 29. Tony
