The party that wins the Presidency in 2000 will be the long term loser.

You are probably correct about that. The complaining and criticism will start before the winner takes the oath and continue incessently for four years. Besides, economic growth for the next four years will be lower than the last four years no matter who occupies the office.

"Actually NYC's crime rate is considerably lower than all major Texas cities."

Hhhmmm, perhaps something to do with the respective mayors??

Your scenario is akin to filling an inside straight. A Gore presidency will acomplish little but give him an oppurtunity to further preach his victimology and further divide the country. His message is one of division, envy, and fear.

In the event of a Bush presidency, he will have the oppurunity to get some things done. I'd highly advise they address with an open mind the issues of the opposition and address them in a fair way.

I'm a registered Independant. I owe no party blind allegance.
