I just read the Republican Party is considering going to Congress and asking them to appoint a new electoral college reps for FL should the hand counting of votes prove to make Gore the winner in FL.

The above may not be true...that's what I thought I heard on the news but I may have misheard which legislative body. It may well be the FL legilature (as reported previously), and not Congress that the Republicans plan to petition.
