And as far as your comment about deligitimizing Clinton since Day 1 at their peril - well, all I would say is they didn't have to work very hard at it - after Travelgate, Monica, Missing documents, the definition of "is" presidential perjury, buddhist temples, contibutions from Red China, No Controlling legal Authority - should I go on?

Plus, not sure you can say "at their peril". When Clinton was elected, the Dems controlled the House, and the Senate was more narrowly divided. After the public got enough of him, the republicans built up majorities in both the House and Senate. hard to say that thus it was at their peril - since they gained control of both houses of Congress, and still maintain that today
