Instead of the end of the hostage crisis for my generation, I'd postulate the end of NASA's infallible aura with the
Challenger explosion.

A friend of mine was number the NJ representative for challenger and i believed she finished in the top 5

I was getting walked in a stroller by my mother when a neighbor screamed out that Kennedy had been shot. I don't remember that, but I DO remember this flag-draped box being carried down these LONG steps a few days later on TV. I asked my father what it was and he said that the President had died and was in that box. I was 2 1/2 at the time and it is one of my earliest childhood memories.

OT????
Instead of the end of the hostage crisis for my generation, I'd postulate the end of NASA's infallible aura with the Challenger explosion.

How about when John Lennon was shot? The day the music died.
