He may have done a heroic deed in the past, I won't take that away from him. Does that make his modern convoluted positions correct?knc

flap,

you act as if winning the medal of honor gives Kerry a free ride to say or do anything.

I acknowledge his MoH,, good on him.

But to use THAT position to bark the Dem line concerning the military vote is just hackery(is that a word?) at it's finest. And face it...that IS the only reason he is in Florida.

That was then, this is now. Big diff. Lots of genuine war heroes strike out on other appearances at the plate. That said, I like Kerry but this is silly season.

From the Britannica:

[Hitler] served throughout the war, was wounded in October 1916, and was gassed two years later. He was still hospitalized when the war ended. Except when hospitalized, he was continuously in the front line as a headquarters runner; his bravery in action was rewarded with the Iron Cross, Second Class, in December 1914, and the Iron Cross, First Class (a rare decoration for a corporal), in August 1918. He greeted the war with enthusiasm, as a great relief from the frustration and aimlessness of his civilian life. He found comradeship, discipline, and participation in conflict intensely satisfying and was confirmed in his belief in authoritarianism, inequality, and the heroic virtues of war.
