1) Sell all stocks and redeem dough from mutual funds.

All stocks? All mutual funds? No equity in the world is going positive from now until forever?

3) Study up on what the fundamental value of a stock really is. Pro forma earnings are NOT part of future cash flow.

Been there. Done that. Got the spreadsheet.

4) Realize that stocks are NOT guaranteed to go up in the short or long term.

There's no guarantee that you or I will see the next sunrise, either.

5) Learn how to trade so you realize that the market CAN be beaten with an ugly stick

Eighty percent of all mutual funds don't beat the market. Sixty percent of all investment clubs don't beat the market. Fifty-four percent of individual investors don't beat the market. What makes you think you can?
