I suspect ghettos arose because of 246 years of physical enslavement and 381 years of economic servitude. Wrong the ghetto as we know it today didnt exist. In Detroit I lived in an area that had blacks whites hispanics etc. After the riots and the bussing the whites fled the cities. Not one Democrat who demanded bussing sent their kids to any of those schools. The white flight from the cities was a direct result of well-intentioned but misguided practices. Just as the digital divide is today. The civil rights leaders and liberal democrats insisted that blacks be taught only by blacks. Well guess what they got what they wanted. So did they learn math etc etc ? NO they learned roots and no not square roots. The Digital Divide was the consequence . 100 % their failure. As far as the band there were numerous and very well known. The people I played with are household legends today.
