You are correct, and I did catch the mistake today in the press conference.

I think part of the appeal is that he is not Slick Willie.

Plenty of great men, with sound and even novel ideas, were not great public speakers.

A question, do you think that W is dishonest?

"the court cloaked its ruling in legalistic language"

Hysterical isn't he ? How dare the court write opinions he can't comprehend ? What a bozo.

So, pray tell, does this mean no one who is not a shyster should be allowed to be President?

Let's see, who would that eliminate? JFK and LBJ, oooooh, we're getting some really important liberal icons here.

A minor figure in American history named George Washington. Well, also Reagan, you'd like that. Also Ike and Truman. And William Harrison and Zach Taylor and Andrew Johnson and US Grant and James Garfield and Teddie Roosevelt and the much-maligned Herbert Hoover. Looks like there'll have to be some extensive re-writing of American history.

Millard Fillmore was a lawyer. Great President. So was James Buchanan and Grover Clinton, er, Cleveland, same scandal. Oh, yes, among the outstanding, upstanding paragons of virtue who were Lawyer-Presidents is Willie Clinton. And the much-overrated FDR- -not exactly a hero on this thread. "Tricky Dick" Nixon was a shark. So was "Can't walk and chew gum at the same time" Ford.

And "Silent Cal" Coolidge

If a law is passed requiring a law degree to become President, then it's time to pick up the guns and start the second Revolution.
