I know you are kidding, but think about it. What makes
you think a psychic would be a Republican? I think not.

Isopatch,

You are right about biased media.

Example: Quayle misspells a few words,Bush doesn't know the name of a general in Pakistan; they are labeled as idiots by the press. Kennedy makes a serious misjudgement killing himself and two others;then is labeled as America's Prince by the press.

Example: CNBC called vote on SO CALLED marriage tax and SO CALLED death tax. Either they are or they are not taxes; to label them as SO CALLED is to cast doubt on the authors[Republicans] credibility.

Example: Clinton given credit for reducing the deficit and cutting spending. When he took office he proposed a massive health program which was shot down by Republican senate. When Republicans took both houses he decided to take credit for their efforts. News media gives him credit but savaged the Republicans for trying to shut government down to control spending. As long as Dems control the news[journalism depts at US universities] Reps have little chance.

Example: Stock market fares better under Dem president than Rep, media says. Republicans had NO say in congress from 1952 until Reagan. Senate control allowed tax cuts and investment in new companies MSFT,INTC,CPQ etc. Revenues grew every year after tax cuts but the entitlement MOB prevented cuts in welfare or government so the deficits grew. A more accurate comparison would be: How did the market perform when one party held 2 or more of house, senate or presidency? Only since 1980 have Reps had this advantage. Giving Clinton credit for productivity is like giving the logger credit for cuttting the old growth forest.

Example: Clinton given credit for welfare reform when the bill would have never passed in a Dem congress.

Enough of the obvious. Something I don't understand. Our economic system has restructured[steel, autos, health care]but our legal system is becoming more inefficient and corrupt. People would not tolerate a mechanic keeping their car for two years or a surgeon taking 6 months for an operation; yet they grumble only a little about a divorce or child custody or in MSFT case antitrust taking years. These people make their money by being inefficient[stalling & delay]. So when will the Buggy Whip legal system be restructured? Any thoughts or is the legal standard of Raise your right hand and Lie destined to continue with the trial lawyers.

Regards,

Anyer
