TG,

I don't want to argue with you about this as my knowledge of the law is somewhere around 0:)

But thinking in plain English they have a date set by the legislature. Wouldn't the courts job be to find that date is valid or it is not? For them to say it is not a valid date and then to pick a date that suits them are they not creating law.

I really don't know but to this biased small town hick it seems to me that they are saying the legislature's vote on a date doesn't count but those 7 can pick a date.

I am quite likely wrong, but that is the way I see their decision.

Jeff

His Daddy told him, at least

Mrs. Gore always said the Senator was his Daddy.

As to mistakes, we all make them and if we miss out on something when we make a booboo, we learn the lesson and don't make the mistake again. This is a process as old as man and is constructive, educational and good. The only people who want to bypass this critical natural process and replace it with government cradle to grave wet nursing is, of course, Stateists.

As to old people, I know old people by the bushel load, and each and every one of them values their vote and makes sure they know the rules of voting and they abide by the rules. In this country we have the right to vote. For every right there is a coresponding responsibility. In voting that means learning how to vote in your county, the mechanics, the hours, the day etc. If you don't, then you do not deserve to have your vote counted. When you grow up a little and care to learn, then your vote gets counted.
