Bill:

Nice to see you come around...Y2001 is shaping up to be a much more exciting and profitable year for AMD than Y2000, which exceeded even the most wild projections of 1 year ago...Explosive price potential in AMD...Years of Pentiumiii type profitability (i.e premium pricing) currently shaping up for the "spry Athy"...Just don't know what will set it off or when...

Bill Re..hmaly, P-4=Cooked goose. My earlier comments were a bit too charitable.
just read the P-4 revue at Tom's. Call the gravediggers, arrange for the Palbearers, perhaps Paul will be one.

Bill, I agree entirely. Yesterday I posted that Intel had failed to defend its home turf, by putting out a chip that was good for the internet, but bad for the commercial market. I take that back. It appears the P4 is bad for all markets, even the video and streaming mpg4 market. Just how Intel figures it will keep over 90% of the commercial market with a chip this bad amazes me. I have been in business long enough to know that if you don't take care of your customers, someone else will.

Bill, 'bad' news for AMD -- Fry's is selling a 1.4 GHz P4 motherboard with 128M of PC800 for only $1200. Pretty sure it didn't include the CASE.
