let's not get giddy just yet...there's a possibility the XAU will come down for a third re-test of the lows to make a triple bottom. BUT...the chart looks good here...definitely sports a bottom look. very nice oscillator non-confirmations on the re-test of the lows.
and gold itself is so dull, lying around motionless in the smallest trading range since it trades freely within an ever more tightening falling wedge...really looks explosive. the rally off last year's low and the subsequent decline to this year's low looks exactly like the Dow's pattern at the 1932 bottom. if it keeps following the pattern, we should get the biggest rally since 1986/87 over the next few months.

needless to say, knock on wood. Prechter still targets $182/oz.

i think that won't happen for the simple reason that production would come to a complete standstill at that price, and where would the shorts then get their metal from?
