<<at the bottom, there should be no more bonuses. instead there should be high profile bankruptcies...>>

A few other benchmarks that the bear has run his course:

1) Massive layoffs in the brokerage industry...
2) Cancellation of these ridiculous broker based TV shows (BULL and THE STREET). Conversely, if they have a series called SHORT SELLERS, or LUCRETIUS' BEAR RAID PARTY I'm outta here!
3) Staff cutbacks on CNBS, cancellation of their fab new studio. Better yet, cancellation of the whole network due to lack of interest....
4) 10 out of 10 "elves" on Wall Street Week are bearish, as reported by Lou Rukeyser's permanent replacement, Gail Dudack.
5) Fleck appointed as head of the SEC (my personal favorite)
6) In the IBD, in the graphs for "Stocks in the News are found NEM, HGMCY, GOLD, AEM and HM.
7) In the same rag, under "Top 25 Growth Funds" are RYAKX, RYURX and BEARX.

That should pretty well cover it. Anybody got any others?<G>
