By the way, Ronald Reagan, also, was totally
committed to his cause and even if you hated him, you always knew EXACTLY where he stood

I loved Bobby and hated Reagan in 1968. But I voted for Reagan in 1980 and 1984 and gained affection for him as well for exactly the reasons you put forward. We dont have leaders like them anymore--either of them. I consider myself a progressive-- not a democrat or a republican. Sometimes the progressive position coincides with the liberal one; sometimes the conservative. I have no problem voting for the best man as well.
If I lived in Florida I probably would have wound up with a pregnant chad. Both candidates are mediocre by any standards. At this point I want Bush so the damn market goes up. Its that simple for me now.
Anyone remember the Seinfeld with Georges high school gym teacher who used to torture him. Instead of Costanza he called him Cantstandya. Thats what i say to both candidates--CANTSTANDYA--GIVE THEM BOTH AN ATOMIC WEDGIE!
