Re: "Thanks for giving your constitutional legal interpretation of this 24 hour old news. Do you think this is a good? "

Yes I think it is a good. In my view of things, the Legislature makes the laws and the Courts interpret the laws. The Courts should never have the power to make laws because as I've stated before, they don't answer to anyone and no one should be given limitless power. IMO the Legislature should tell the Courts to go **ck themselves and vote in the Electors of their choosing with the blessings of the U.S. Constitution.

As it is now appearing, this may very well not be necessary. With #1, the courts refusal tonight to force Maimi-Dade to continue with recounts, #2 the apparent Federal law that requires the acceptance of tossed out military absentee ballots, which may actually number in the thousands, and #3 the likely (IMO) conclusion that the actions of the Democratic controlled counties where handcounting is proceeding, being deemed a violation of the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment when argued before the US Supreme Court (clearly the votes in heavily Republican counties which didn't get handcounted don't count as equal votes to the votes in heavily Democratic counties where Democrats have done everything but send out searching parties into the swamps in search of dimpled chads).

It looks like the tide is indeed turning in favor of the Republican party. I see Bush now as the likely winner and Gore as the longshot. I wouldn't have said that yesterday.

That's my opinion.
