ish, believe it or not, the fundamental problem is human nature. humans are self centered selfish people impacted by group think and tend toward the least common denominator. sounds kind of bad, huh? it is true. we have 10s or 100s of thousands of people dying every day b/c people don't care. humans are only as strong as the weakest link and our weakest link is no link. if your job was to move the bodies of all the people dying each day from starvation then you would see the impact of human selfishness. imho, only god can change human nature with our willingness. perhaps humanity, like many children and immature adults, need to hit ROCK bottom before we will listen.
