Skeets, you tell me it's a revolution, but relax, your Congress is going to decide on January 6th, and it will all be legal, constitutional ...

America has got an opportunity to teach the world a real lesson in democracy here.

Don't you know, it's going to be
Alright? <g>

Skeets,

Calm down, get a grip. The msnbc article was partisan but not cuckoo.

Many objective observers are noting the ferocity gap between the Republican and Democratic party machines. The Republicans really feel that heaven owes them this one.

As for the court, being appointed by Democrats is not the same as being co-chair of Bush's campaign, for goodness sake. Their ruling said, in essence, we have a body of conflicting electoral statutes and we are interpreting it following precedent. You may not agree with the reasoning but it doesn't turn them into political hacks angling for a Gore victory. Personally, I think they should have gone further and imposed a uniform standard.

As for the military votes, blame the Florida legislature! The law requiring postmarks may be idiotic but it seems unambiguous. Notice that the Bush camp slammed the Democrats about military ballots on the courthouse steps but had nothing whatsoever to say about them inside the courthouse.
