The protest will also demand that the Florida legislature take immediate action to prevent the Florida certification from being tainted by fraud in South Florida counties. The rally will be held at 12 PM CT, Saturday, November 25, 2000, at the Old County Courthouse in Pensacola, Florida. Cola, I appreciate the great thought and effort that went into your post. I mostly do not agree with your premise because I feel the hard right element of the Republican Party is the greatest threat to our great nation. On abortion, that is a tough subject and I have been on both sides of this issue, and now I put it in the too hard category and leave it up to each individuals conscience or lack thereof. As for Gore, I getting quite upset with his antics, and if the count on Sunday leaves him short then he should concede. On the other hand, I am sure that if the count on Sunday favors Gore, then the Republican Party will screw things up for several months and do everything possible to block the results! So in short, whatever happens Sunday should dictate Florida and in the interest of all either side should give it up. I guess I am dreaming that bipartisanship and consensus building as W proclaimed he is best at is impossible as he is part of the problem.
