I'm not really sure I was ever ticked off, more like surprised. :) I can understand your points, and I concur.

In the ruling from the Florida Supreme Court, I noticed that they cited case law from Indiana and Illinois in preference to mentioning the Texas code. So I assume they felt that foreign precedent was more important to their explication of the proposed solution than was foreign code.
