Max, to investor/traders, the stock market is all about making money. That's why we are here discussing the markets. I don't know why you are here. But you usually show up with Softechie to "stir things up". . .[we all remember the two of you on Trader J's, discussing coming over to the HOME thread to start trouble.]

If you followed the prior posts regarding the way the Individual Investor is "played" by the Wall Street Power Brokers, using high-technology to flush out every move we make and measure our mood and read our posts. .. .then you would understand that this already is about war. Being a student of history, you should know that the markets are two-sided. . . not bulls and bears. . . . the elite and the "retail investors". The only thing that has changed is that now they have begun to use our own weapons against us. And this is not merely a theory. [There are plenty of prior posts which back this in fact].

As for the market becoming about "patriotism" or about the "charity" you talk about. . .I don't see the connection. Nor do I get your point. But you are right that this thread is too spirited for you, so I suggest you find one that is better suited to the spirit of "giving up". As for the spirit of the Individual Investor. We have only just BEGUN to explore the possibilities.

We here at HOME are gathering up the troops to find new weapons to begin to fight back. [see prior posts for explanation] Plain and simple. It sounds as if you would rather just give up and go home. And that is fine. By all means. But calling the Individual Investor a spoiled brat because he/she wishes to continue trading the stock market and continue making money is awfully presumptuous of you.

I don't know to what you refer, when you say "the upset" of this thread. But I'll take it you mean that over the years we have immensely upset Wall Street with our ProfitOften style of winning, our unity and our tenacity. And for the complement I thank you.

Enjoy your Turkey.

We have two in the oven now. . . that I won at a Turkey Shoot. . . where they use photos of Leading Market ANAL-ysts as targets. I just couldn't lose. >jk<

Best wishes,

Rande Is

Food for thought:

There are millions upon millions throughout the world who rightfully wouldn't even begin to comprehend "the upset" of this thread.
So in economic downturns you can't buy as many toys(boohoo),at least you can eat well and sleep in houses that don't have dirt floors.
Now i am going to have a nice thankgiving dinner and be grateful i don't live in a back alley in Calcutta.

Where do you think this abundance we enjoy came from? Did it just drop from the sky because we are "special"? NO! I submit to you that the reason we enjoy this standard of living is because of the liberty, freedom, and property ownership rights, inalienably given by God, that our constitution guarantees.

Our constitution did not just appear one day - it came with a price - it cost many lives.

For the most part, it is not lack of resources that cause third world economies to remain poor, but in the long run, it is their lack of capitalism, property ownership rights, and individual liberty that keep them poor.

The rights we enjoy in this country were hard fought for. Let's not take them for granted.
