I don't know about you, but I was highly pleased by what my union brothers and sisters accomplished in Michigan and Pennsylvania, getting out the vote for Al. Similarly, NEA-led campaigns sunk school voucher initiatives in California and Michigan by 70-30 margins in both states.

It's highly satisfying to see labor flex its muscle again.

Since the Republican Party is stupid, what you'll see the next two to four years, assuming D-Dubya-I assumes the presidency, will be new assaults on organized labor by the right-to-work Dixiecrat GOP congressmen. I hope this happens, because it will solidify our cause. If the Republicans were smart, they would use honey instead of vinegar to attract more union members to the Republican Party. But that ain't gonna happen. GOP is far too beholden to Big Business. Should be fun.
