the same that i think about all cyclicals: depends on how the economy lands. note, Aluminum producers are extremely sensitive to power price changes. most have tied their electricity supply contracts to aluminum prices to soften the blows, but the current energy price environment can't be good for them. in that sense they may be worth considering as a contrarian bet at some stage though.
btw, Brent crude is up another $1,70 this morning, as Saddamned threatens to turn off the taps on Dec. 1st.
