Joseph, as I recall Applied did not project btb - and certainly not for several quarters. But if ML thinks btb will move down to 1.0, then they may not invest in the sector. Even though the synthetic SEMI organization 'backlog' was still growing as of October and could take 3 months without new orders to work off.

compare 'backlog' to shipments. The AMAT backlog trend is the same as SEMI's.

In short, if you think ML's reasoning is wrong, use their weakness to invest better.
