"I cannot help but think there is some way we may be being blindsided?"

Just that you've been conditioned to think that way by INTC's glorious past and the INTC PR machine knows that full well, hence the repeated but unfullfilled promises over the past 12 months...If INTC had anything to blindside AMD with, it would have happened 6 months ago, before it became evident, even to Paul and his groupies, that the PWeeiii architecture had been superceded by the Athy architecture...P4 hype over the past 12 months has been an effort to buy time and keep OEM's (primarily Dell) from straying too far.Demands for something tangible to support the P4 hype have resulted in the P4 floppy release, not exactly the rabbit out of the hat that the likes of Dell were counting on to be certain...INTC has just about played all the cards they have to propagate the myth of their continuing microprocessor superiority...The fact is AMD can and has demonstrated tangible evidence in the "here and now" of the Athy's superiority...Looks like INTC has hit the wall to me!!!
