Sam,

Like I said, you guys are zealots. For you, party affiliation is more important than ethics.

Still, have a great Thanksgiving.

Dave

Sam,

p.s.

First there was never a real case of sexual harrassment, only consensual sex.

You're right in that there appears to have been only consensual sex -- Monica had consensual sex with him and Paula Jones had no sex with him. But you and Ali need to read up on the sexual harassment laws. They're not just about rape (non-consensual sex), but about the effect that having or not having sex has on your career and the work environment. Paula Jones claimed that her career was hurt by rejecting his advances, and while the lower courts apparently found enough evidence existed to allow the trial to proceed, there was never any resolution to the issue because Paula Jones settled. The Jones lawsuit was initiated long before Monica showed up, and was settled after the impeachment was completed. Bill Clinton committed perjury during the proceedings of the lawsuit.

As an aside, I find it astounding that he started up another office affair while being sued for sexual harassment in the office. What a goober!

I'll agree that there are over-zealous Republicans as well (which is a major reason I haven't voted for a Republican candidate for a major office in the ten years before this election -- the Democrat always seemed more moderate). And for the most part, they're the ones who screwed up the case by focusing on the sex. They certainly were out to get Bill. And as I've said, I don't like zealotry on either side. But being zealous to either side doesn't change the fact that he perjured himself to try and hide a relevant fact in the sexual harassment lawsuit.
