Much too early to tell if this is a trend, but AMG Data reports over $8 billion of outflows from mutual funds as of the week ended last evening:


This type of thing will probably put a damper on any end of the year rally. Typically you see people putting more money into mutual funds and retirement accounts because of bonuses at the end of the year. These funds also like to buy into the hot stocks. But with this market you are more likely to see more tax loss selling and people pull their money out of funds. Plus we are soon on warnings period.
