<<As for the dollar going down.....they can't even make it go down with serious intervention by the ECB. It is in the world's interest for it to back off and it will>>

I agree, it probably won't happen all of a sudden. It'll probably take Greenie to stomp on the accelerator with a rate cut to get it down (my guess is in February, BWDIK). In the meantime, more TL and EV for companies doing business overseas. The Q4 earnings should be quite interesting....

Grace,

It is the nature of markets to only give gains to the minority that goes contrary to the majority.

hmmmmmmm, not sure if I agree with that statement.

I have a reasonable record of finding lows. Being in only cash does not help determining that point IMHO. I have read stories of those bailing out in '29 cause they thought the mania was too much, and then buying in just at the wrong moment. In the same way, someone in cash can think we hit a low, just to lose out. So my point is...cash ain't king in the stock market investment biz.

A balanced portfolio is king, even though you watch it tank. I'm suggesting a rule break here. Immediate consideration of preservation of personal wealth will not let you win.

The big market players have those guys taped.

IMHO

pearly.

ps Have a happy thanksgiving to those in the USA. They should introduce it here in Euroland. Mind you, maybe you should also adopt the British Nov 5th. Bonfire night. Set off major fireworks that would be banned in the 'states. It was originaly planned as a National "unification" exercise but could easily change...after all Guy Fawks did try to blow up the houses of parliament and all in it at the same time.

long live real democracy!

LOL
