Dear Yaacov: You asked for elaboration from Lineman, merely peruse the posts on this thread and you will get an indication of the graft and corruption that will surely follow a Gore win. Gore will have MANY FAVORS to repay all to the wrong people. The large trade unions, the crooked Daley family just to name two that come to mind. He also is on record as being for MUCH more govt regulation of big business. You saw what happened to WCOM over what sure looked to me like unfair regulation (WCOM says the regulators never even looked at one of the many boxes of data sent them to argue their case), you see what is going on with AOL right now as the regulators postpone their decision awaiting the outcome of the Presidency. It will be a very bad 4 years for the stock market if Gore gets elected IMHO. JDN

I thought I heard, that someone had the same theory on CNBC/or MSNBC today (although I'm not sure I believe they were going to have a guest who thought this too). The economy is finely tuned machine, Bush is more likely to tinker with this (especially with his tax plans, SS etc). Once you unbalance part of the economic structure you really dont know what the inflationary effects, interest rates direction, overseas money flows etc. With the Fed in a crucial phase of its inflationary fighting stratergy anything could happen. Not sure if he said the same thing on TV - these are my thoughts.
