That is a fantastic post, gao seng. Will sums up exactly how I feel about this Gore caused fiasco.

The dems seem incredulous that Bush would speak against the FL S.C. ruling, but to me it would be dis-honest not too, if that is how you felt about the ruling. They (dems) also seem to think it is preposterous to go to the Supreme Court, when to me it seems like the ideal kind of a situation for them to get involved. If Bush's (and George Will's) position is so outlandish, I would like to hear their reasons that it is. Even if there was ambiguity in the Florida laws, I would think you would error on the side of the more obvious interpretation.

In an ideal scenario from my perspective, I would like to see the U.S. Supreme Court take the case, and then explain clearly to the American public why Gore's tactics are not legal. If that message comes from our highest authorities it will give GWB the "Mandate" to lead everyone talks about and expose (to some at least) what the Dems will do to maintain control.

May be wishful thinking, but after reading Will's opinion I am more optimistic. Like him or hate him (Will), he is one smart dude.

Happy Thanksgiving!
