I have read through some of the more recent posts here. May I compliment the writers are they are all very good. I live in Calgary and the only problem I have at this time is the election will be over before I even cast my vote after work. I could do it in the morning to make myself feel better but that isn't the point. What was done in Alberta then Ontario a couple years later, which is tax cuts, needs to be done federally. I am not sure how many of you are from Alberta or know whats going on here but the latest accusations from the provincial Liberals is that the PC's (provincial PC federal Alliance) are going to poll Albertan's what to do with the provincial taxes when the debt is done in 2 years and we only have 13.5 Billion in the Heritage Trust fund.
It is a really crappy problem for the government to have when the run surplus when oil is $35 a barrel or $10 a barrel so that argument doesn't wash anymore that we have all of this oil revenue (it doesn't hurt either). But lets vote some common sense in Ottawa for a change and I cant do it alone. So vote for anyone you want except Liberal, P.C., or NDP. The green party is harmless so they are ok.
Any thoughts, I will be back in 5 hours to read them. Have to go back to work and pay my Federal Taxes (which the day you are born add up to $25k per person or with CPP are around $50k per person) it is even worse if you add in Provincial debt's but that is another story.

"fruit cordial" That is the funniest thing I have read all week. Is it a stiff drink?

An alliance candidate was at an Indian Reserve near Prince Albert the other day. People were shouting and screaming at him, calling him a KKK and worse. He got up and tried to make a joke and said, "I hope I don't get scalped". And then the fun started, Saul Sanderson said it was the most humiliating insult First Nations people could endure to hear. Professional white mediators were on hand to discuss the racist invective with the rest of Canada and how we as a nation could work through it. What a put up job, what a good reason to vote Alliance.

The really poor end of town here, bikerville, drugville and hookerville all have Alliance signs up. The blue collar union crowd are split between NDP and Liberal. The white collar area has mostly Liberal and Alliance. It will be interesting.
