Good points, Kevin. We have the luxury - I have the luxury - to think about these things. And I realize I have no monopoly on Truth (er, sometimes), although whether Europeans or Americans did the capturing or not, I'm not sure is the most meaningful distinction. All the divisiveness of this mis-election has made me a bit grouchier than usual with regard to American self-admiration. I spent a year or two in India, and another in Africa. I also have a very strong appreciation for America. We are far from all bad, and far from all good, but being surely the most powerful, I feel a duty to try harder than most to consider other viewpoints. But enough said - I had a lovely meal of tofu and garbanzo beans before saving a few chickens from a nearby farm. I'm letting them stay in the spare bedroom. Peter
