Well, I don't believe there was much to argue about.

What bothers me is that Cohen is(was?) a republican who came into Clinton's administration.

But hey, both sides have had glaring examples of waste, fraud, and abuse. We can find a lot of it in the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who often carry larger entourages with them in their travels than does the SecDef.

Personally, I don't mind a going away party for a SecDef, but hosting it in Hollywood is BS. And then trying to spin it off as a "awards ceremony" for some celebrity just cuts that much deeper.

But as I stated before with the military ballots, the pentagon has learned not to cross Hackworth.

They learned their lesson after Admiral Boorda committed suicide when Hackworth discovered that he had frocked himself with all kinds of undeserved combat decorations.

Btw, David Hackworth IS one of America's most decorated soldier (still lacking that medal of honor though).

And HE EARNED EVERY DAMN ONE OF THEM in three different wars.
