Yeah, and I wouldn't be surprised if Pima and Maricopa counties in Arizona and Santa Barbara county in California fit in that same slot. And they don't seem to have the problem either. STRANGEST thing.

I think I'm on your side but you're way off base here. SD has quite small black population, quite small jewish population and is probably the official "residence" of about a quarter of the active and retired U.S. Navy population and not a few Marines. Almost NO transplanted New Yorkers. IMO, of course.
