From Lehman Bros. LSI Logic(LSI) 1 - Buy Inventory Concerns Bigger Issue Than Management Change ·Having touched base with both John Daane and Doug Norby yesterday, their departures were unrelated. We note that LSI reiterated comfort with Q4 on November 9th but we remain cautious on companies with high comm exposure. · With Daane’s departure, LSI will split its communications business into a networking unit led by Jordan Plofsky and a broadband unit led by Giuseppe Staffaroni. Both currently head those areas but report to Daane and should do well given their experience. Corrigans successor though is a question.
