"In 10 years, memories can fade". That's Gore teams legal cover:

Thanks for posting the entire story from the web site, dsindakota.

Had it not been for the Tribune researching and publishing the true facts? Team Gore would have gotten a lot more than just 2 or 3 days of PR spin out of that erroneous affidavit from ANOTHER Cook County partisan.

This is classic machine politics, folks. If you know you don't have the votes? Mfg them. If you know you don't have the legal precedent? Mfg that too.

Gore said in 1999, "I will do anything to win". And he is.

With 500 or more lawyers working for Gore AND all the dem lawyers in Cook County, Illinois does anyone think that:

1. The Gore forces took the time to call this guy late at night and

2. Wait for the next day so he could complete the proper execution of 2 affidavits and then fax them to the Gore legal team WHEN

All the Gore lawyers had to do was to take a fraction of that time and simply read the Illinois Supreme Court ruling??

The answer is simple. If the used the affidavit ONLY, and it was later discovered to be false, they could avoid charges of legal fraud.

If anyone thinks otherwise, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell them<G>

Make no mistake about it. These goons are engaged in a shameless and brazen attempt to steal an election.

Based on the series of Gore campaign incidents that HAVE been reliably reported, in recent months, imagine the hanky panky that HASN'T been publicly exposed, lol.

It is interesting that the Tribune did not print anything about this article in their print edition this morning.
