after the florida supreme court ruled for gore, gore (assuming he had been handed victory) said national popular vote was irrelevant and he wouldn't accept votes in his favor of bush electors

You said they "have nothing to lose." They have everything to lose, IMO. American trust just for starters.

There is nothing to be gained by being timid. In politics, victory belongs to the aggressive. They should continue fighting. They have have nothing to lose.
