Slow motion grand larceny. The canvassing boards know their "quotas," now, and they'll meet them, unless stopped. Isn't it "amazing" how Roberts of PB County, once so vocal, has been so low-key and out of the public spotlight for the past several days? She's probably just keeping her nails, er, nose to the grindstone. Broward, on the other hand, has just been quietly tallying up an inordinate number of Gore dimples and pimples, without much fuss.

RE "Strange that he would know that isn't it?" Well, they have some idea of the number of dimpled ballots, and they know the proportion of Gore vs Bush votes. It's just math from there.

I believe Palm Beach intentionally is waiting to release counts on controversial ballots until the end of the process to reduce the political pressure on them. As soon as they release that Gore has gone into the lead the rhetoric will grow quickly.
