I sent this email to Universal- I hope you all will read it. I had to send it to the system admin since their sucky email system didn't work. I was outraged about this. I hope you will boycott the grinch, we love Jim Carrey but this was just awful. And worst of all, it isn't obvious to children why it is awful- it sucks them in with it's gimmicks. Now we did have a nice long talk with our kids about why it was awful- but you can skip watching the Grinch eat glass, and seeing him bang his head, and watching him lift his dogs ass up for a sleeping Who to French kiss- and you can just have your talk without seeing the movie. I wish we had been warned.

..................

I am writing to you to complain about the Grinch. I took my children to see this and
I cannot tell you how sorry I am that I did. This was the ugliest nastiest take on the
simple gracious sweetness of the original story I can imagine.

This movie made the Who's ugly. It made the story perverse and the irony was that
the LESS is MORE aspect of the book, was born out by your movie. The original
was MILES better- and why someone at your studio couldn't figure that out I'll never
understand. And it actually had the french kissing of a dog's ass implied in it - which
might be funny in an adult movie but NOT IN A CHILD'S MOVIE! I am outraged-
and I am very tolerant about movies. We have a huge collection of movies and love
the indy movies- but they are for ADULTS.

I will never go to see or purchase a Universal movie again and I intend to publish my
opinion widely on the internet. Perhaps you need to fire some of the idiots who
thought this up- and hire some people with FRESH ideas that are actually good
ideas.

<<What DID you stuff your shirt with? >>

It would seem the item not found in your head, common sense.
