Fred,

Dimples are not more democratic than republican but an argument can be made that the dimples would be in the same proportion as the overall vote split (democratic vs. republican) in the county in question. What makes the whole counting skewed towards Democrats is because it is being done in three heavily democratic counties. No recounting was done (or ordered by court as a pre-condition for any recount) in other (republican) counties of Florida.

I have an idea. Why don't we count the dimple ballots and split them 50/50 for each side. LOL!!! SOUNDS FAIR TO ME.

"Perhaps someone could explain to me why dimples
are more democratic than republican, or vice-versa?"

Dimples should be more democratic in democratic districts and visa versa. Bush should have accepted Gore's initial offer to recount statewide. He would have won. Today the punch card company reps said that there was always more problems in the first choice for office on the ballot. There are very few dimples for dog catcher. What a pathetic voting system.
Military ballots should be counted if dated. Postmark is a stupid requirement when mail is coming from submarines etc.
