Chuck: If I were to identify my union or occupation, it wouldn't be too difficult to figure out where I work. In other words, if I said I lived in Kentucky (which I do) and was a member of the UAW, well, chances are pretty good that I'd work at the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, right? Then after that fact became known, right-wing extremists on this board would write letters to the management lackey at the plant in charge of mind control, e-mails and political correctness, and I would risk losing my job, because I do occasionally post from work during "down time" (even though there are no written rules against such). Many wish to silence me because I speak the truth -- a concept they are uncomfortable with.
