That is actually pretty simple. Put yourself in the shoes of a person who must have something, despite any obstacle. You'll have to alter your thinking a little bit, because your personal viewpoint of "despite any obstacle" probably excludes things like lying, cheating, stealing, and so forth. In other words, assume that "the end justifies the means." I don't mean to be blunt, but that's what you must do to understand Al Gore. The bizarre thing about it is that once one has that kind of viewpoint, he is pretty much doomed. It's only a matter of time.
