Thomas: Let me ask you one question. Do you think that Oklahoma Congressman J.C. Watts was "used" by the GOP at its national convention, when he was put center stage in all the balloon-release shots? Don't you think his career has been put on fast-forward by the GOP for obvious reasons? Isn't this a form of "affirmative action"?

To award a position based on race is evil racism. This is and excellent example of how affirmative action if used with quotas is evil racism. I was a victim of just what you refer to. I served as a Pennsylvania State Trooper for 26 years. I was passed over for promotion because of a decree from a black Federal Judge against the State Police. There were 2 separate promotional lists. One for minorities and one for those of us not a minority. It didn't matter how high your test grade was it mattered which list you were on. This is the very system the Democrats profess is fair and just.
