We will be back overseas in a short while anyhow so in a way I don't really care which of these tom turkeys wins this duel, but I will be bothered by one thing; if the winner is The Shrub (or Sprout, or little Georgie the second or whatever) I will have to make many more declarations to the locals that he IS NOT my choice, just as I did years ago when HIS DADDY was in charge. Bush the First was unbelievably unpopular in the third world. A big issue was Panama, even though the media here didn't cover the butchery done to the innocent bystanders there you can be sure it was covered well by all third world media. Then there were little things like his apparent rudeness to the Philippine president and just his persona. I would say that he rivaled Nixon (the original "ugly American") in this regard. WSR
